Fine Art E-Commerce UX/UI Design by Matie Natov



In March 2023, a fine art company specializing in e-commerce solutions for fine art print sellers across retail, to-the-trade, and wholesale contract sales channels sought a go-to expert for website design and copywriting services. They turned to Matie for a critical project: enhancing their digital product for a specific onboarding client. This client had ambitious goals—modernizing the app’s theme, user interface (UI), and user experience (UX) to captivate potential customers and streamline the ordering process through the company’s software. The existing software was outdated, featuring uninspiring layouts and dense blocks of text. Matie’s mission was clear: transform the platform into a visually engaging, responsive, and user-friendly tool while aligning it with the expectations of the client’s potential customers.


Crafting an Intuitive User Experience Flow


One of the key challenges was crafting an intuitive user experience flow. The site needed to make it clear to shoppers whether artwork was available for pre-order or ready to ship—essential information for an optimal browsing experience. Additionally, the platform required a seamless UX/UI feature allowing users to upload their own background photos. Matie brought these functions to life, designing innovative and user-friendly solutions in Figma.




Developing an Interface


Another challenge was developing an interface that would allow customers to select custom framing and print options for their artwork. Matie collaborated closely with the client to understand their needs and deliver an efficient e-commerce solution for purchasing and customizing artwork online.

12+ UX Screens Produced


The results were impressive. Matie designed over 12 user experience screens, each meticulously crafted to enhance the overall functionality and aesthetic appeal of the site. These Figma mockups served as a blueprint for the company, enabling them to build the site effectively and onboard their client successfully. The combination of thoughtful design and user-centric features not only streamlined the purchasing process but also elevated the user experience, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and engagement.
