The Challenge


In March 2023, a coastal art reseller specializing in e-commerce turned to Matie for her expertise in branding, web design, and e-commerce strategy. They needed a refreshed logo and a complete overhaul of their online store to improve user experience, boost conversions, and streamline the ordering process.


The goal was clear: design a visually compelling, responsive, and intuitive website that would appeal to fine art buyers while making the customization and purchasing process seamless.


Designing an Intuitive and Customizable E-Commerce Experience


One of the biggest challenges was ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience. The website needed to effortlessly guide users through browsing artwork, customizing options like size and framing, and using quick-shop features. Matie was responsible for designing all essential user interfaces, including artwork browsing, account creation, and profile management.


Another key challenge was developing an interface that allowed customers to select custom framing and print options. Matie collaborated closely with the client to understand their needs, ensuring the solution was both effective and easy to use. Additionally, the platform required a feature that let users upload their own background images to visualize artwork in their space before purchasing.


Leveraging Figma, Matie designed innovative and user-friendly solutions that brought these complex features to life.






Delivering Results: 12+ UX Screens for a Seamless Shopping Experience


The results were impactful. Matie designed over 12 UX screens, each meticulously crafted to enhance the site’s functionality and aesthetic appeal. These high-fidelity Figma mockups served as a foundation for the company, allowing them to efficiently develop the website and onboard clients with ease.


By combining thoughtful design with user-centric features, the revamped e-commerce platform streamlined the purchasing process, enhanced customer engagement, and elevated the brand’s online presence—helping the art reseller turn more visitors into loyal buyers.
