Hired in 2014 as a Coding Instructor


In 2015, Matie was offered the opportunity to join a cutting-edge education technology company located in Marin, California as an after school Coding Instructor. Starting off as a part-time instructor for Girl's Afterschool Coding Program, Matie's passion for teaching and expertise in coding quickly caught the attention of the company's leadership. As a result, she was promoted to lead the Girl's Afterschool Coding Program, where she designed and implemented a curriculum tailored to inspire young girls to pursue careers in technology.

Overall, Matie's impact on the startup was significant, as she not only excelled in her role as a Coding Instructor but also demonstrated strong leadership skills and a creative eye for coding courses and curriculum design. Her contributions helped to establish the company as a leader in the education technology industry, and her dedication to empowering young girls in STEM fields left a lasting impact on the community.


Matie designed and developed numerous Introduction to Programming courses using the Scratch by MIT platform. Below are some games that Matie created using Scratch as part of coding curriculum for beginners:
